I first discovered “natural skin care” when I was in my 30’s after I fell in love with the smell and packaging of the Origins skin care line. I was visiting my sister in Austin and I was immediately drawn to the display. ( It took years for it to catch on here but when it did, I got many of my friends hooked immediately) On to Arbonne, a botanical based skin care line as my sister was a consultant.

While I had great success with both of these skin care lines, in my late fourties, wrinkles, sagging and dullness progressing, I read about a product called Organic Argan Oil. This is where my obsession began. I have since discovered hundreds of natural skin products that I never knew existed, along with the gym and all natural supplements. Can you say “addict?”

“Despite trailing economic conditions, the market for natural and organic beauty products is growing worldwide. In the United States alone, the natural personal care market is predicted to reach $6.7 billion in 2015, forecasts Kline & Co. (Parsippany, NJ).”

New products with innovative ingredients are driving this growth with hundreds of new natural anti-aging products hitting the market daily. Consumers are demanding all natural but they also want products that work.

Whether or not you believe that chemicals in skin care products are dangerous to your health, believe that all natural skin products may be the answer to your sudden skin problems. The naysayers claim that we are promoting snake oil which is comical in itself, as we are only promoting nature. The research and the records of medication based products speak volumes. (they are not good).

I strongly believe that there is a connection between health and beauty and once you become healthy on the inside and start nurturing your skin with all natural skin products on the outside, you will become that person with vibrant, healthy, glowing skin that you so often admire. With more and more people using and demanding natural skin care and supplements, it’s no accident that women are looking and feeling ten years younger today.

  2. Hi Charlene
Let me introduce the company ACTIVAROMA that i trust to buy my oils from, face hair and body , bath and shower oils 100% natural essential oils and massage oils .
The owners are French, but they are located in Santa Barbara California. such a beautiful line ( products, packaging , web site )
First of all, the argan oil is really good to protect skin from Anti-aging, and from the UV. It is better than any expensive cream because it doesn’t need to be preserved by chemical agents, like paraben. Nothing else . The componennts of this oil are just amazing and rich in fatty acids 70% ) and vitamine E, French own most of the companies that produce Argan through Cold press process, exactly as JOjoba oil. So there is no Goat poop involved.
If you are looking for the ultimate in luxury, look no further than ACTIVAROMA. Between their healing and nourishing Argan oil products and delicate floral waters, your skin will revel in pure, natural beauty. I use the oils to moisturize and even my skin tone and use the floral waters as a toner and special, refreshing treat throughout the day. The Eau de Rose floral water is one of my absolute favorites. Not only does it help make my skin feel amazing, but the scent always gives me a true sense of serenity. Thank you, ACTIVAROMA!

I buy my oils at this french company located in santa barabra california activaroma.

    Warmly

    Jo

  3. Hi Charlene! I did a search for natural skin care companies and found an old post of yours containing a list of 75 companies.

Thanks for providing the resource for us! My friend just started her own natural skin care line, made by hand, called Karmalicious (http://www.karmalicious.ca). So, I wanted to see what else was out there.

Good luck with the blog! If you have a chance to check out Karmalicious, I know Jenna would love your thoughts.

    Best,
    Shayna

  5. Hi Charlene,
I recently came across your blog and I think our new Aloe Replenishment Gel is a product you’d love. This repairing and rejuvenating gel protects and deeply hydrates even the most sensitive skin. It’s fantastic for calming rosacea, eczema and dermatitis and soothing dry skin, wind burn and irritation. You can see what it looks like here: Aloe Replenishment Gel.
Boost your skin care regimen with soothing and hydrating Aloe Replenishment Gel. It can easily be incorporated into any skin care regimen: after a peel, at night as a soothing mask or daily under your moisturizer. After cleansing, smooth on a thin layer and rinse off after 10 minutes or leave it on.
Personally, I use it nightly as a leave-on mask to calm breakouts or irritation. Please let me know if you’d like to try it for yourself. If so please send me your mailing address and I will have it in the mail as soon as possible! I hope to hear from you soon.
    All the best,
    Suzie

  6. Hello Charlene,
I’m so glad to have found your blog about natural skin care. I know I’m not the only one out here making good for your skin products too, so it’s nice to see others in the same field. My line is called Heal My Sole which started out of the need for a good foot scrub. Then lotion was added, lip balm etc. We offer a create your own section to allow a customer to select up to three essential oils in their own lotion, mister or bath oil. This is a very popular feature for those that love a certain fragrance they can’t find any longer. I hope you check us out at http://www.HealMySole.com. Let us know if we can customize a lotion for you.
    Happy day,
    Mary

  8. Hello Charlene,
i love your blog, finally i found someone who search fro the same products ! i think to try the Oskia Nutri Active Day Cream. may i ask you what you think about; Bella Vei Anti-Aging Moisturizing Cream? Does that cream work, or is it just a empty promise ?

  9. Simon, the product you are asking about does not list any ingredients which leads me to believe that they are hiding something and I would never purchase products based on a random description of how the product works.
