I am not looking for skin whitening products and I could never honestly tell you which ones work because I would never use them. I am just recently learning how to darken my skin without chemical laden products or harmful UV rays!

So, while I am no expert on skin whitening creams, I did run by a popular skin care forum (that shall remain nameless) that does seem to have an expert of sorts on the “skin whitening” epidemic.

About six months ago I joined a popular skin care forum. It didn’t take me long to realize that there was one expert dishing out tons of advice on skin whitening products. This so called expert was and still is giving advice on every whitening cream and skin whitening treatment, including which prescription medication creams to use, the combination of products to use and how much to use, etc. So this guy must be an esthetician or doctor or at least he has worked in a salon to get his training. Right? Wrong.

Six months ago his profile listed him as a 27 year old wannabe pharmacist, not to mention he is a gorgeous white male. So how does this guy, who looks like he would never have to use a skin whitening cream in his life with no formal training get away with giving advice on how to whiten your skin? I am thinking I may not have been the only one asking this question as his detailed profile is no longer available.

Shouldn’t people be asking “how do you know all this stuff?” before they slather their skin with skin whitening products that could be potentially harmful?

I am a natural skin care advocate so no, I would never recommend anything but natural skin whitening products and unfortunately for some of you, that is not enough. I understand that. But really, people are destroying their natural skin by using the wrong combination of skin whitening products, potions, lotions, and pills.

People react differently to the same products. It may not happen immediately but from some of the posts I have read, some have seriously damaged their skin for life over time from using whitening creams, hydroquinone creams and other nasty chemical laden products. There are safe natural skin whitening products on the market today that may take longer but are far safer for you in the long run.

Be careful people. Very careful. I have been using hydroquinone to fade some dark spots on my face.
I’ve been seeing some good results although it was taking a long time, slowly but surely the spots were fading.

I eneded up rubbing the cream too hard into my skin and it actually took the layer of skin off, pus came out and now it has turned dark anad looks like a cut, but my skin has been burnt.
