There is no doubt that natural skin products and essential oils play a large role in recovering skin damage and maintaining overall skin health, that’s why I am here. Natural, organic substances work in harmony with the natural forces of the body. To make the most of natural products however, whether for your health or beautiful skin, it is necessary to abide by the laws of nature, especially regarding food.
The best anti aging cream in the world or the newest cosmetic procedure will not keep your skin from aging if you continue a diet of unnatural foods. There is no disputing this fact. Just as skin needs protection from outside pollution, it also needs protection from pollution on the inside.
Beautiful skin depends on the blood which nourishes it and the health of your blood is determined by the food you eat. Overeating or eating the wrong foods may lead to toxic congestion of fluids causing the cells in your body, including skin, to become slow and starving them of oxygen. If the body is undernourished, the skin is undernourished. Period.
Many of us pushing 50, have already figured that out just because we were trying to keep healthy and great skin was an added bonus. Just think of what would have happened if we figured this out in our 20’s, or 30’s. So, I encourage you all, no matter what your age, to immediately consider your diet when you think of beautiful skin.
What Foods Should I Eat To Bring Back Beautiful Skin?
To avoid congestion of skin and to make sure that your natural skin care products are effective, you must eat a non-toxic diet, free from chemical additives, low in sugar, salt, sweets, cakes, coffee, alcohol, etc. Grains, vegetables, fruit, and vegetable protein should be eaten regularly.
A short fast or fruit diet may be necessary if you have neglected your diet, followed by a change in your daily diet. In some instances, change in your skin will be immediate and in other cases, the body will need time to adjust to the new internal environment you are providing.

Will I Get Beautiful Skin From Vitamins?
Certain skin conditions may well be associated with a vitamin deficiency. According to “Let’s Get Well” by Adelle Davis:
“When volunteers have been kept on diets mildly lacking in vitamin B2, their first symptoms were whiteheads and oily hair and skin. This condition cleared up soon after 5 to 15 milligrams of vitamin B2 were given daily. To my knowledge, this abnormality has not been produced by any other deficiency”
“A friend who developed severe stretch marks during her first pregnancy stayed on an unusually adequate high protein diet supplemented with 600 units of vitamin E and 300 milligrams of pantothenic acid daily throughout a subsequent pregnancy. Although she gave birth to twins, the stretch marks from the first pregnancy completely disappeared and none formed during the second.”
While Adelle Davis wrote about this more than 30 years ago, many changed their lives through her teachings on vitamin deficiencies and proper diet to end their health problems.
Today, there are many skin, hair and nail vitamins on the market and only you can decide if supplementation is right for you. It’s important to know however, that nothing is better than getting all of your nutrients through proper diet.
