Many people attribute varicose veins to genes or getting older. Maybe all women in your family have them. Maybe you are seeing them more and more as you get older. In the end, they may be caused from years of lacking dietary fiber and certain nutrient deficiencies have been shown to promote the onset of varicose veins in both men and women.
Laser procedures can work, but they are very expensive and results are temporary. Luckily, a natural varicose veins treatment does exist.
According to Jonathan V. Wright, M.D., “Lack of fiber allows pressure to build in the abdomen. This abdominal pressure in turn, creates back pressure on the veins from the legs, dilating them.”
There are several things you can do to alleviate this condition. Eat foods containing bioflavinoids such as blueberries, blackberries (the berries again), and plums. Take 200-600 milligrams of magnesium and 400-800 IU of vitamin E each day.
But the best natural varicose veins treatment may actually be found in your local natural food store. Alternative therapies continue to be the primary choice for many varicose vein sufferers, as surgical procedures for treatment are quite invasive and involve the closing or complete removal of the affected vein.
Herbs such as butcher’s broom extract and horse chestnut can be effective varicose vein treatments. Butcher’s broom may improve symptoms of poor circulation such as blood pooling in the legs, swelling and constricted blood vessels.
Horse chestnut seed extract has been known to shrink the swelling of varicose veins while improving vascular function throughout the body. It appears to relieve symptoms of CVI, which sometimes lead to varicose veins.
Extracts of grape seeds contain proanthocyanidins and procyanadins, which strengthen the connective tissue structure of blood vessels and have antioxidant effects.
Cardiolin contains all of the above and provides nutritional support for YOUR entire circulatory system; lessening the venous pressure of the legs and increasing the integrity of tissues that support veins. When used in conjunction with exercise, proper diet, and relaxation techniques, Cardiolin may provide a reduction in the diameter of varicose veins without employing costly surgical procedures.
Do some research and decide which natural veins treatment could be right for you.
And one other thing….studies have shown that cultures with diets low in refined foods rarely suffer from varicose veins.
